EMPOWER YOUR KIDS
What do kids get out of publishing their own books?
PASSION
The love of writing can grow exponentially the moment your students hold their own book in their hands for the first time.
APPRECIATION
After students themselves travel down the winding road of the creative process, they look at every book through wiser eyes.
REFLECTION
From brainstorming to curling up with it on a rainy day, your students' book will always be a time capsule back to the original journey.
CONFIDENCE
Your students' book is a four-cornered trophy that they can raise over their heads and remind themselves: "I did this!"
RESILIENCE
A clear and tangible light at the end of a tunnel motivates students to keep going, even if they trip... more than once.
COURAGE
Books are made to be read. It takes bravery to get out there and expose yourself to others, but the rewards are gratifying.
Why publish with Liv & Blue Classroom?
Liv & Blue Publishing was launched by Matthew Baganz, a teacher better known to kids as Mr. B. The company continues to be run by teachers knowledgeable in both education and the publishing industry. Because we understand what the writing experience looks like in a variety of classroom contexts, we're happy to accommodate and support you and your students during the publishing process, whatever it is you might need. We're a personable, "mom and pop shop" kind of publisher (Liv & Blue was named after Matt's two kids), so we connect with our fellow teacher and student authors like colleagues and classmates. We look forward to hearing from you and supporting you with sharing your personal stories.
OTHER CLASSROOM PUBLISHERS
LIV & BLUE
Teachers are provided with design software and required to design their own book pages before sending them in for printing.
SOFTWARE
With our Standard and Premium packages, we design your book for you. Just send us your text and images, and we'll do the rest.
Teachers are required to distribute, collect and return parent order forms from all students.
PARENT ORDERS
We don't require parent orders. If you would like an order form to use for your own purposes, we're happy to provide you with one.
Parents or schools pay from $10 to over $20 per book and are then given a "free" classroom book if enough orders from parents are made.
We provide our package prices up front. Our packages range from $8 per book for a class set of 20 books to $17 per book for a class set of 30.
PRICING
You need to create an account with a username and password to use the services.
ACCOUNT & LOGIN
We only ask you for the information needed to ship you your books. No account or login required.
Once your project is complete and your purchase order is closed, you cannot order additional books in the future.
ADDITIONAL COPIES
You can contact us anytime for more copies of your book - however many you want, whenever you want.
Students are not credited as authors anywhere.
STUDENT CREDIT
You have the option of including your students as authors on our Student Authors page, which they can share with family and friends.
